Sunday in Kampong Cham

We got up early and left just before 5:30 am. (2 weeks ago).  We wanted to be at the Church building before the members arrived so we could greet them.  It is always fun to meet new members.  They are always so excited.

These pictures were actually after church was over

I think he was trying to climb back in.

Primary

There were also 2 baptisms after church.

A new friend, a little older than I am..(people are always interested in how old we are), asked. "why did you wear this?"(touching my white scarf).  I said, "Don't you like it?"  She said "no".  These people are so loving ...and honest.  They also like to touch my hair...

Getting on her bike to go home.

A member and his family needed a ride home so we took them.  It was about 30 min away.  We visited their home and they showed us around their farm.

This teenage boy, 16 yrs old, was so cute.  He showed me his cows.  I asked if they had names.  He said "cow".  He talked a little English.  Anyway, I said they needed a name."Do you just want them to be cow 1 and cow 2?'  Thinking he really had named them or may want to.  He just laughed.  A while later when we were leaving and saying goodbye, he said,"Good Bye from cow 1 and cow 2"  Oh funny people...

Their rice had just been harvested.  They kept most of it, and may sell some when they need cash. You can see it in the round wicker container close to five feet high and probably 8 feet across  covered with a tarp.  This should sustain them through the year.  They also had chickens, fruit trees and small garden stuff growing.

This is the mother-in law.  She really was quite beautiful.

Crossing our path walking back to the car.  So cute...
